Does anyone know how financial aid works like when do you recieve the money?

because I am going to being living off campus and I was wondering when do I personally recieve the money.

oh and im going to be attending cal state long beach

The tuition is taken out of the financial aid first and then you will receive what is left over.  Usually you do not get the money until a few days after school starts.  Good luck.

All of your FAFSA or TAPS money will go directly to the school.  If you took out a private loan as well, for money living off campus, it only takes a couple of weeks maximum to receive your check :-)  it's pretty fast.  But if you took out an actual student loan, all of that money goes right towards your bill.

You don't personally receive any money. It is all applied to your account at school.
