Does anyone know how find out if you're phones are being tapped?

I have reason to beleive an ex of mine may have done this and since he has connections in the wiretapping and spy business, going to one of those shops would not be an option

there is no bug detector that really works...

your best option is to examine all of the phone wiring and jacks inside your home for anything out of the ordinary... remove the jack covers and look inside the jacks as well...

also check the NID and any other telephone boxes that are attached to the outside of your house, make sure that only wires that are connected to your inside phone wiring are connected in this box...

replace any 900mhz phones, preferably with a corded phone, or a DECT cordless...

also note that DMTF tones can be decoded, as well, not just voice conversation...
