Does anyone know how hard it is to find work in torrevieja spain alicante?

hiya i used to be a travel agent so was hoping to find work as a check out staff at the airport and my partner is a painter and decorator.....just wanted advise on how easy it was to get work.

any response would be fab thanks x

Sorry but there are loads of Brits in and around Torrevieja looking for wirk. You'd be better moving somewhere else.

Finding work as an expat is very difficult throughout Spain, unemployment levels are rising and the construction industry is almost on its knees meaning there are thousands of Spanish, South American and Eastern Europeans chasing any work they can get. The last 12 months has seen an exodus of Brits back to the UK, typically 30-40's with families who just havnt been able to make ends meet. Its a great shame as Spain is a wonderful country to live if you can support yourself.

I guess its pretty much going to be highly difficult unless you have some specialist skills or if you are highly attractive....
