I have an issue with the OBs that I've been seeing at a military hospital. I asked the Commander to let me see a Civilian OB because I'm not receiving good service but he denied it. I'm at high risk pregnancy, with diabetes, low-lining placenta at 31 weeks. I've never seen the same OB twice. Every OB I see, tells me something different...the head of OB prescribed meds that may be harmful to my unborn child! I tried calling the other Military hospital to help me out but they were rude to me and told me I have to deal with the hospital I'm currently with...I don't know what else to do! I'm just so upset right now, they're not taking me SERIOUS! this is how they treat a combat veterans wife!

  1. I would start local and hope someone on the wire picks it up right now.

But to be honest that's not really newsworthy. Lots of people are treated rude and given the runaround in the healthcare industry. Nothing unique about your situation.

  2. I disagree, it is news worthy.  You people and your families defend our country and deserve good health care.  You Tube got the unfare living conditions of a military platoon returning back from iraq nationally covered.

I got this off the nancy grace website:

If you are a crime victim or someone who knows about an injustice or case that needs a spotlight, call "Nancy Grace" at 1-888-GRACE-01 or send information via e-mail to "Nancy Grace."

She just had twins and is all about children's welfare on her show.

Also, after 28 weeks, a low lying placenta is deemed "placenta previa."

It is important to understand what you are facing.  Placenta previa cases should ALWAYS have C-Sections!!!  Make sure you are clear about your wishes.  In Illinois, you legally have a right to chose what medical care you want (VB or C-Section) regardless of what the doctor wants to try.

What happens when you give birth vaginally with placenta previa, is that the placenta is delivered first.  This is BAD.  Mommy can bleed out (which can be fatal).  And Baby is deprived of oxygen normally supplied by the placenta, but it detaches from the uterus if delivered first, so the baby is oxygen deprived PLUS the baby is directly connected  to the placenta and can bleed out as well (which can also be fatal).  Inform yourself, b/c it sounds like you have your hands full with doctors that are....not as qualified as you deserve.

I wish I knew more websites for you.  Good luck, and I hope you get the care you and your baby need.
