Does anyone know how i can get protectio from p.c hackers....URGENT !!!

Question

can anyone pleaseeeee help me....i know a few people that have somehow hacked on to my p.c and took most of my pictures....at first i thought that it was a joke but then they showed me pictures that no-1 else have...how can i get protection for my computer for that....and other times when i try to shut down my p.c it warns me that someone else is using my acount and that they well lose data !! HELPPPP ME PLEASE

Well, first try using a firewall, then, use a good antivirus, I'd recommend Nod32 smart security, or AVAST, Then try changing your IP Address so that hackers will have a hard time entering your pc. Here are some websites on how to change your IP Address, and there's also an application that changes or hides your IP Address, try searching it on google or yahoo.

Hi Nat. What operating system are you using? If its Vista then go into Control Panel... Network and Sharing center...and in the bottom half change all the sharing options to OFF. There are lots of ways to share things so let me know what you find. In an emergency get a memory stick and move all your pics and private stuff to that and get them off your pc totally till you have it sorted out.

Buy the famous - Symantec Endpoint Protection 11. It also detects fake web pages! If you are stuck with the hackers, re-install your OS.

Antivirus can only prevent from hacking...but firewall can make u invisible from hackers... so i recommnd comodo firewall(free) or zone alarm firewall(trial) ...

and i advice u to use "firefox 3" and " speed up my pc" software for removing all ur private internet data.

Ok, antivirus does not stop penetration.

First, I would imagine they installed VNC or RDP.

Re-install, repartition your drive, re-format.

(Not in that order)

Reinstall programs you actually NEED)

INstall all updates.

Install avg free edition (anti-virus)

Install zone alarm.

Install spybot search and destroy.

Scan you data before you bring it back to your hard drive.

DONT LET ANYONE ELSE TOUCH YOUR COMPUTER!!!

Physical access means they own the box.
