Question:

Does anyone know how i can put on weight, fast?

I am kinda thin, im a 15 year old girl and i need to put a little more weight on. i weigh about 6 stone. but want to be about 8/9 stone.

I try eating more, but it doesnt really work, and i wont put a lot more weight on.

Has anybody got any particular foods that will make me put a bit more weight on? And dont start making them up please, actually make sure you know what your talking about! =]

  1. u should be glad to be so thin and 6 stone... that is pretty light... its not that hard to gain weight... its way harder 2 loose in. dont just eat junk food cuz thats really unhealthy and not good 4 u.  just simply be lazy and consume more calories every day from healthy foods


  2. junk food. don't exercise. pig out on fattening foods

Eat good fats.  Peanut butter, peanuts, eat omega fatty acids, fish and beef.  Get in approx 6 medium meals instead of just 3 large meals.  It takes a while.  I play football and had to gain as much weight as possible.  I went from 180 in Highschool to 265 lbs soph year in college.  The extra weight does help me in college stay healthy.  FAST FOOD IS NOT THE ANSWER.  In my case i lose weight when i eat fast food.  The reasoning is because fast food has LOTS of saturated fats.  Saturated fats fill you up faster while not necessarily adding calories.  Remember higher calories in than calories burned and you'll gain weight.  Work out as well that helps a lot.

  6. Try some junk! My doctor also told me to gain some weight. Chips, candy, and other things might be able to work. Or you just can eat healthy, but eat lots!

  7. eat a c**p load of fatty foods and alot of carbs...  go to Whataburger

  8. Drink Ensure plus and drink a lot of it.  Also you can make super fattening milkshakes by combining Ensure and ice cream.  

    If you want to gain weight faster yet go to a health food store and buy weight gain powder an use it along with the Ensure plus.

  10. Have you stopped growing yet? You might just fill out naturally.

    You might be the right size as you are now and if you put on weight it will either be fat or muscle and 3 stone of either probably wont look pretty, I would wait a few years and see if your body fills out naturally.

  12. I am not sure about the arms but I know for me penutbutter works for your legs. I have tried it and if you are alergic to penutbutter, I recomend fats, sugars, oils and also don't be active because if you eat then excercise you are burning off the calories so that would of been an unhealthy waiste of time.

  15. When I weight lift I use weigh protein and eat high protein meals like chicken and fish.  Also on my diet I do medium carbs and low fat.  That's how I bulk up.  Good Luck.

  16. Try throwing a bit more cheese into your diet, and eat food with high fat contents on the label.

You want to put on weight but put on healthy weight (muscle not fat).  You need to eat more proteins and complex carbs (examples would be steak, chicken, tofu, beans, etc... potatoes, bagels, bread, corn)  I eat a lot of tofu and beans like edamame etc because they are low fat sources of super protein.  Another way is to drink in more food such as with a protein shake or a fruit smoothie (w/o icecream).

  19. I was the same when I was your age, it's a mixture of hormones, activities and eating too little that make you the size you are.

    You have to make sure you start the day with cereal and a slice or two of toast or something of the equivalent or more calories.

    Make sure you eat often, and eat proper meals throughout the day, and try not to leave any on your plate.

    I used to snack alot instead of eating proper bulky meals and I was very thin.

    Eat wholesome foods, carbohydrates such as potatoes, pasta and rice are essential, and any that you don't burn off store as fat.

    If only I had your problem though, when you hit your early twenties you will find it hard to shift the weight! I guess no one's ever 100% happy with their bodies though.

    Sorry to say, but no foods just "go to your arms or legs" etc. That totally depends on your body type and shape.

    The best thing to do for your arms and legs is tone them up using weights, and try squats to build your thighs up.

    but also if you want to get heavier take protein shakes
