I'm going back in November(inchaallah) and want to get one. I'll only be there for 10 weeks this time. Thanks in advance for your help.

  1. Do you mean carte de sejour (residency card)?  If you aren't living here you won't be able to get one, married to a Moroccan or not.  Initially you are given a temporary (paper) card and you have to get it stamped every month until you get the permanent one.....I am waiting on my permanent one for 2 years now.

  2. After 3 months of living in Morocco I applied to stay longer and was given a paper card.  I had to prove that I was living there, have an address and a means of supporting yourself.   A month or two later I was called to pick up my official Certificat D'Immatriculation which was good for one year.

  3. I am also waiting for 8 months to recive the card, probably by the time I pick it up it will be time to renew but they do give u a paper one .The one I have I dont renew every month .I think it would be best to get your husband to ask at the police station near him.You are supposed to live here though for more than 3 months.

  4. It depends on what basis you apply under and what your nationality is. I ma th owner of www.cityred.ma and a number of other sites like www.morocco-holiday-apartments.com. I hold a British passport and was told that I'd get the ID within 3 months, it took 9!

I've become a bit of an expert on this issue, so please feel free to ask me any questions you may have.

    Regards
