  1. "Full time" means 52 weeks a year.  "Seaonal" means during some but not all of the seasons of a 52 week year.  The terms appear to be mutually exclusive.

Typically seasonal IRS jobs start and end 2-3 months on either side of April 15.

  2. A seasonal job at IRS last depending in what department you are hired in.  Customer service jobs, which is mostly phone with taxpayers could last up to 9 months, but jobs in department that input current tax return could end in 2 months.   In the collection department you could work up to Dec and come back to work in Feb.

So there is no answer unless you know what department you are hired in.
