Does anyone know how long before you have to do a top end rebuild an a honda crf150r?

I have a crf150r and i need to know how long before i need to have a top end rebuild. With me replacing the air filter, oil, ect after every ride. Also i ride in the trails so i dont ride it so hard.

  1. unless it's having problems you don't really need to rebuild the top end.... you don't need to rebuild the top ends on these bikes all that often, especially if it's only on trails....

    do you have a manual for it? it should give you some sort of refrence... but again you're not gonna have to rebuild as often as a MXer...


  2. Yeah man, with that type of riding you will probably sell the bike before it ever needs a top end. Just keep a close check on the oil as 4 stroke race engines do tend to burn some, and of course keep the air filter cleaned and oiled. I do the air filter after every ride unless it was wet and no dust at all.

  3. I race a good bit and trail ride some. i have had many bikes ,all of them honda and i have never had to h ad to rebuil a top end.

  4. That motor will last for years.

    Make d**n sure you get the air filter sealed

    all around so you don't get leaks.

    Actually, you can probably ride it a couple times

    before changing the oil if you use synthetic.
