Does anyone know how long is too long to store dried Mexican mole ingredients?

I got some authentic Mexican (chocolate) mole from Mexico City like 2 years ago. It's been in my cabinets the whole time, sealed up nicely and i want to use it but not sure if that's a good idea. I know the ingredients have dried chilies and ground up spices, but not sure if there are any perishable ingredients.

  1. I have used Mole that was 3.5 years old, and it was OK. It doesn't have perishable ingredients. If it was sealed nicely as you say, it will do no harm.


  2. It shouldn't spoil, but the flavors will diminish a lot.  It may be somewhat bland.
