  1. You won't be immediately be an officer.  You have to attend and graduate from Officer's Candidate School first!  You gotta get drilled as a candidate by a Marine Drill Instructor at the Navy's OCS and then you will get your Commission (if you pass).  It takes about a year and a half to finally be qualified as a Navy pilot or whatever-not sure on the length, but it is a long process.  The school they attend, I think it's in Pensacola.

  2. Yes if you have a collage degree you come in as an officer. But as for being a pilot. You have to qualify physical, no color blindness no nearsightedness and you have to be able to withstand gforces. Pilot training is very difficult andcompetitivee, but if you work hardI'mm sureyou'lll make it if you pass the physical.Hopefullyy we'll be competing together causeI'mim going to join marines soon to be a pilot as well ^^ good luck to you.

  3. Who cares?

  4. no you are not immediately an Officer.  first you must apply for and be accepted for a commission.  Not everyone with a college degree meets the minimum qualifications.  less than half of those who DO qualify to become pilots.  and of the ones that get the shot.. only half actually become pilots.

minimum 2 years post commissioning for flight school.  Longer, depending on what ever platform you ultimately get.  the overall commitment is around 8-10 years including training
