Does anyone know how long it takes to recieve a letter from someone who is in basics at Fort Benning, GA?

My husband is at Fort Benning, Georgia for basic training. He left for basics July 31st and arrived at Fort Benning August 1st. Does anyone know if i will be able to recieve phone calls from him? Does anyone know how long it will take for him to write me? Thanks.

It depends on how busy he will be.  His training can be extensive and could keep him busy late into the night.  When I went through training I was able to call home at least a couple of times.  If I were you though I would make up some cute little care packages cookies, sweets stuff like that.  I also enjoyed cards of all the funny things that happened at home.  Don't complain or anything that could make him feel down.
