  1. Every child is different.  YOu are the only one who knows your child and if you think he is hungry, feed him.  Give him his Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.  My child sometimes ate tons of food and other days he doesn't eat as much.  He is 14 months old now and is still like that.

Most babies at 8 months old still take 2 naps/day.  The morning nap should be shorter than his PM nap.  Again though, every child is different.  Some babies don't even take naps.

  2. i dont know naps as never had a baby but with foods about 3 meals a day, and can start givivng him solids if you think he can take it. things like mash is good and rusks.

  3. My son is 9 months, but at 8 months he was eating 3 meals a day, plus a snack during the day.  He's eating table foods (yogurt for breakfast and a fruit and some cheerios; lunch he'd get veggies and fruit, dinner he'd have whatever I had, normally meat and veggies - the snack is usually yogurt melts by Gerber or cheerios)

He was taking two naps a day - one long one (1.5 to 2 hours) midmorning and another one in the after noon (about an hour).

Babycenter.com is a great website to check out.

  4. My baby is 9 months old.  at 8 months she was starting to eat pureed meats(beef, pork, turkey, chicken, fish), vegetables and fruit.  Never feed a baby that is less than a year old honey, cows milk, or strawberries.  If your family has a history of food allergies, then you want to stay away from nuts and legumes and anything else that people in your family has been allergic too.  She has three meals a day of solids, and feeds about 4 times a day with breast milk and/or bottle.

As for sleeping, each baby is different, but our daughter sleeps through the nights(8-9 hours) most nights, sometimes she wakes up once or twice and just needs a snack or some consoling and then takes 3 1-1.5 hour naps or 2 2-3 hour naps during the day.  Just depends on the day I guess.
