  5. Hi. this is actually a very good question. Legends have it that mermaids reproduce by saluva and that the mother dies giving birth because they have to be cut open. At least that is what I've read.

    Keisha

  6. it must be done by how fish do  it; by external fertilization. the female exerts egg cells while the male exerts sperm cells. i mean if you look at it mermaids are half fish.

  7. The male mounts the female. Mermaids are manatees. They are not half man half fish. And they are so friendly.

  8. Funny. I wonder how they get pregnant!!

  9. By kissing?

  10. The fact that matters is that all of those that do know are not talking......... Why? who knows, Why they holding that kind of information back from the general public........... So the only way to really find out is to capture one for yourself and examine it for yourself.......... That is if you can get it past the Government watch dogs..........

  11. On land, mermaids only gain there traditional shape when they touch water, on land, they have the same reproductive systems as any normal human being.

  12. Once they mate and become pregnant they serve as a meal for their unborn offspring.  The baby eats away at the mother from the inside out until it has exited the mother.  This initial taste of flesh is what makes mermaids man eaters since they never lose the desire to eat flesh and since humans are the closes thing to mermaids they usually hunt humans since they are easier prey than other mermaids.  Mermaids also kill and eat the male after mating which is ironic since mermaid babies do the same to the mothers.

    Hope this helps.
