  1. Probably it was a punishment by GOD for breaking the first stone tablet with the TEN big ones etched into it. I think Moses was initially pissed about having to stop all the extramarital affairs he was having if the BIG TEN became an expected way of life.

  2. You may be thinking of Methuselah, who reportly lived to age 969...

But as it turns out, it was actually months, which is the equivalent to almost 81 years of age...

As someone else said, Moses lived til age 120...But this is similar to the Legend of Lao Tzu, who went out into the wilderness, at age 73, and was never seen again. So they say he lived til 120!

Later in the Bible, it says that the grave of Moses was never found. So, no one really knows when he died. The point is, he was very old!

In modern times, a French woman, Jean Calment lived til almost 123...

  3. moses, moses jr, moses II, moses III

and it's kinda your getting it from a fairy tale...written by men

  4. It was the TIMES & God was pleased with him.  Forget it, you won't ever make it that long, for everything is too corrupted now.

  5. At the time of creation the earths magnetic field was 20 times as strong as it is now. This is based upon the scientific measurements which we have been able to make accurately since 1835. The magnetic field declines quickly by half-life, similar to the breakdown of radioactive elements, and would have only been 10 times as strong as it is now at the time of the Flood. By the time Jesus walked the earth the field was only three times as strong as today. Experiments done with laboratory rats have shown a direct correlation between strong magnetic fields applied from conception to puberty and demonstrated increases in longevity.

  6. Ate the time the bible was written, "older" meant "wiser." Those with claims of extremely long life spans supposedly were much wiser then anyone else.

Checked various sources, theres none that claim he was older then 120 when he died. This matches with the biblical "40 years" for each of his life experiences.

It is Adam that gets the credit for 900 plus years. Supposedly he was a father at age 130. Again, with age supposedly comes wisdom.

Discovery Magazine recently computed the odds on life span. It comes out if we cured disease and old age, we'd live a maximum of one thousand -plus years before the odds of accidents caught up with us.

  7. diet and exercise

  8. Moses was a human being meaning there is no possible way that he could live to be 900. Maybe someone read it wrong and meant 90 which was OLD back then most people lived at the most to live to their 40's. And if God made it so that he lived to be that old then why didn't he make all of the other people who were important in the bible to be that old as well. This is my belief.

Edit- I think Eternal has a point if you take 900 and count it as months then moses would have been 75 a more realistic age.

  9. besides gods grace... well he was a vegan... ate all natural... i am sure got plentyl of excersize... genes...... happiness.....  hard to tell but a great question...

  10. Moses was only 120 when he died....sorry.

I am going to quote only one bible translation, but you will find the same in any bible you have available:

    New American Standard Bible

"Although Moses was one hundred and twenty years old when he died, his eye was not dim, nor his vigor abated."
