Does anyone know how much Kinko's or Wal-Mart charges for a passport photo?

Just go to the post office and they will take the picture for you and process the paperwork as well.  Photo cost about $12, but you can be sure it will not be returned.

You're better off going to a photo shop. I paid 12.95 for each of us. Our friends spent 7.95 at Wal-Mart and  out of 4 people, 3 got returned. Some were too close, some had shadows etc. Better spend your money & get a good photo taken.

I've gone to the same photo shop for years. I've had passport pics taken & umpteen visa photo's. I've never had a bad one yet. Sometimes it's worth spending a little more

If the pictures aren't perfect, the passport office will send them back, and you'll have to get another picture taken, and send the new one in. This could delay getting your passport for weeks
