Does anyone know how much and how long it takes to sponser someone to America?

By sponser, i mean like pay money for them to come here. I'm a vietnamese in America and i wondering about the whole process of bringing someone to America from Vietnam.

Are you a US citizen?  And who do you want to sponsor?  Citizens can only sponsor immediate blood relatives: parent, sibling, child.

The person who wants to immigrate to the US must apply and meet all requirements for immigration to the US.  The sponsor provides an affidavit of support which guarantees support for the immigrant for 10 years from date of arrival if the applicant is approved.  You need to prove sufficient income and assets to support the person and guarantee a $30,000 bond.
