Does anyone know how much the charge is for accepting calls from LA county jail thru Global Tel inc?

Does anyone know the answer besides its expensive? i need an amount and i sort of need the true amount

Call your local carrier.  I think all calls that come from jail or prison have to be "collect" calls.  Maybe go to Global Tel's web site and check out the charges.

.   60 cents a minute.  The jail makes a profit on those calls. That's why they won't allow calling cards.   (the first minute may be $1 but i think that was eliminated).

I don't know the answer, but I can tell you how to find out.  When they ask if you will accept the charges, ASK them the the rate.  Alternatively,m you could accept the charges and then look at your phone bill.
