Does anyone know how stop my freeview pictures cracking getting still.........drives me crazy?

The pictures on me telly through the freeview keeps getting still and cracking up, can be quite irritating when all the chanels seem to sabotage important programmes; surely there's a way out?

Check your aerial,you might need a booster

The signal arriving at the freeview box isn't strong enough. It could be because the wall aerial connector is loose, or a poor quality cable to the receiver or down from the aerial, but is most likely to be your aerial isn't powerful enough.

You can either buy a new aerial or fit an amplifier to boost the aerial signal. If the latter, 'masthead' amplifiers (i.e. ones fitted at the aerial before the long cable down to your set) are best because they amplify just the signal and not the noise caused in your aerial cabling. Maplin sell a good range of both.

get a signal booster, about 13quid from wilkos.

try checking for damage and moving the aerial, or perhaps the TV itself.  The connection between your TV or server could be interrupted by certain things.

I had this problem until I had a digital ariel installed - only £35 and picture is fine now.
