shaq was 6'8 when he was in HS, and jonathan bender was just aroung 6'0 to 6'2 but had a near impossible 6 inch growth spurt in a 15 month span..kobe was about 6'1..i have a friend who is 6'2...

Well, my brother is fifteen and a nationally ranked player and he's 6'5. Another kid on his team is 6'7. I don't know of any famous ones, though.

I have a friends who played basketball that was 6' 4" his freshman year and ended being 6' 8" overall I think.

MJ i think was just 5"8 in his freshman year and then he got a growth-spurt
