  1. First, get rid of the parentheses:

    -21x + 6 + 12x + 8 - 7 = 15 - 10x

    Next, add like terms together to get:

    -9x + 7 = 15 - 10x

    Now, just simplify

    -9x + 10x = 15 - 7

    x=8

  2. -21x+6+12x+8-7=15-10x

    -9x+7=15-10x

    x=8

  3. distrubute to the patenthesis to get -21x+6+12x+8-7= 15-10x

    combine like terms to get

    -9x+7=15-10x

    subtract -10x (which would turn out to be add because two negatives equal a positive) from both sides to get

    1x + 7 = 15

    subtarct 7 from both sides to get x = 8

  4. - 3(7x - 2) + 4(3x + 2) - 7 = 5(3 - 2x)

    - 21x + 6 + 12x + 8 - 7 = 15 - 10x

    - 9x + 10x = 15 - 7

    x = 8

    Answer: x = 8

    Proof:

    - 3(7[8] - 2) + 4(3[8] + 2) - 7 = 5(3 - 2[8])

    - 3(56 - 2) + 4(24 + 2) - 7 = 5(3 - 16)

    - 3(54) + 4(26) - 7 = 5(- 13)

    - 162 + 104 - 7 = - 65

    - 65 = - 65

  5. -3(7x-2)+4(3x+2)-7=5(3-2x)

    distribute --> -21x+6+12x+8-7  =15-10x

    combine like terms --> -9x + 7 = 15-10x

    bring all x's to the left side, all numbers to the right --> x=8!

  6. first you distribute to get

    -21x+6+12x+8=15-10x

    then combine like terms to get

    -9x+14=15-10x

    then subtract the 15 from both sides

    -9x-1=-10x

    add -9 to both sides

    -1=-1x

    then divide both sides by negative one to get

    1=x!

  7. -21X+6+12X+8-7=15-10X

    now bring the -10X to the left that makes it a +

    -11X+6+12X+1=15

    -21X became -11 b/c -21+10=-11 now take all the numbers to the right.

    -11X+12X=15-6-1

    anytime you move from one side of the equation to the other side the sign will change.

    1X=8 ===> X=8

  8. -21x + 6 + 12x + 8 -7 = 15 - 10x

    -9x +7 =15 -10x

    x=8?

    I miss alg 1, just wait till Alg 2

  9. -3(7x-2)+4(3x+2)-7=5(3-2x)

    -21x + 6 +12x +8 -7 = 15 -10x

    -11x +7 +12x =15

    x =8

    thanx

  10. Try using the BODMAS (Brackets of Division, Multiplication Addition and substraction) and you should be able get the answer...(also pay attention to the signs specially '-')

  11. Simplify each side of the equation using distributive

    -21x+6+12x+8-7= 15-10x

    Combine like terms

    -9x+7=15-10x

    Add 10x to -9x

    X+7=15

    Subtract 7 from each side

    X=8

  12. x=8

    here's the work:

    1.  multiply all the factors first and get:

    -21x+6+12x+8-7=15-10x

    2.  move all x's to the left side and all numbers to the right and get:

    -21x+12x+10x=-6-8+7+15

    3.  combine like terms and get:

    x=8

  13. Okay, well the trick is to combine like terms and get all the (x)s together on one side :)

    -3(7x-2)+4(3x+2)-7=5(3-2x)

    First expand out the brackets (multiply everything in th ebrackets by the number before it)

    -21x - 6 + 12x + 8 - 7 = 15 - 10x

    To get rid of the (-10x) on the right side of the equation, you ADD it to the other side.

    -21x - 6 + 12x + 8 - 7 + 10x = 15

    Now combine the x terms (-21x + 12x + 10x) = 1x = x

    x - 6 + 8 - 7 = 15

    and move all the lone numbers over to the right by using the opposite signs, like so

    x = 6 - 8 + 7 + 15

    and then we solve

    x = 20.

    EDIT. Can't believed I bollocksed that up right at the beginning.

    Of course, -3(7x-2) expands to -21x PLUS 6

    Duh.

  14. -21x + 6 + 12x + 8 -7 = 15 - 10x

    x= 15 - 6 -8 +7

    x= 8

  15. 1.) Distribute the numbers throughout the parentheses

    -21x + 6 + 12x + 8 - 7 = 15 - 10x

    2.) Combine like terms

    -9x + 7 = 15 - 10x

    3.) Get all the x's on one side

    x = 8
