Does anyone know how to apply for a restricted license Online?

Im in new york state. I got a speeding ticket during my probabtio period(six months after i got license). I was given a 2 month suspension and told i can apply for a restricted license. Im trying to save a trip to the dmv. anyone? i tried the online dmv website for about 4 %$#@ing hour and just found information on how to get your license tooking and possible ways to apply for a new license nothing on how to apply ONLINE for a restricted license..(agrivated) lol

Now why would they let anybody apply for a restricted licence on-line?  Get real.  They have to talk to you, you have to convince them there is a real need for you to drive during restricted hours to limited destinations.  

A quick read of the DMV site, however, indicates that New York only issues restricted licence for DUI.  You may be boned, but you will only find out when you get off your duff and make an appointment.
