Does anyone know how to apply wax to a surfboard???

Does it depend on the kind of board?? Does it depend on the kind of wax?? I have a basecoat and a wax for cool-cold water. Please tell me how...and be specific and detailed. Thanks. Oh and if you actually read all of this type, "GRAPE".

grape . just put the base coat on and then get some other wax to put on over it.. i go diagonal
