Does anyone know how to bottle vegetables like you see in stores with peppers?

I see these selling all over the place, and have no idea what is put in them to preserve them or what all the items are in the jars. Is this stuff edible or just for show?

Pack your favorite bottle with whatever your going to put into it. Then just add vegetable oil or wine and seal it off.

You can use vinegar as well. Helps preserve.

process. It depends on wheather the vegetables are low acid or high in acid If you are serious about canning vegetables you need to buy a canning book or see your home extension

agent for methods in canning vegetables.

Canning low acid vegetables can be very dangerous to your health if not canned in the correct way. And yes the stuff you mentioned in

your post is edible but it has to be canned using the correct method. jim b
