Does anyone know how to change a text message ring on the blackberry pearl 8100?

ok!

for texts and emails:

1. go to the profiles application (looks like the volume speaker on a computer);

2. scroll to the bottem and press on the 'advanced' option;

3. this will open another profiles screen;

4. select the current (active) profile;

5. this will give you a list of all the different types of ring options you have (ie: phone, sms text, email);

6. select the one you want to change and this will allow you to edit what the ring tone, volume is for the profile!

for individual ring tones:

1. open your address book application;

2. highlight the person you want to change the ring tone for;

3. press the blackberry symbol key (next to the scrolling pearl) and select 'add custom ring tone';

4. find and select the ring tone you want to add to that contact;
