Does anyone know how to change the valve size on an inline dual head alloy mini bicycle pump? please?

  1. Check the instructions. It'll probably tell you to unscrew the head of the pump, and flip two little pieces in there. One is a rubber ring, and the other is a small plastic part.


  2. Usually dual head pumps have to parts in the head.

    A rubber 'grommet' and a hard plastic pin.

    Usually, you flip both to get them to work.

    The grommet has to sides, one side has a larger opening, the other much smaller.

    The plastic piece usually has one side with a 'pin' and the other side sort of hollow.

    For Schraeder (car valve type) have the large opening out, with the pin in the same direction.

    For Presta (narrow road bike tires) you want the smaller opening out, and the pin, pointing in toward the pump.

    So to change, you just 'flip' both each time.
