  1. that is factory resetting it taking it back to its original factory settings.

i have a vista pc and in programmes it says factory restore in the programmes does yours have anything like that in the programmes

  2. if you feel like it, external hardrives arent very expensive,

  3. have you cleaned the registry?

  4. bring it to geek suad or somthing they know what to do

  5. GO HELP, SEARCH RECOVERY, FOLLOW DIRECTION FROM THERE, READ CAREFULLY RECOVER TO FACTORY SETTTINGS//  CONDITION

  6. If your computer is working perfectly except for the disk space, you may want to try deleting all the System Restore images except for the latest one. This is a Disk Cleanup feature that can be missed because it is on the More Options tab. If you never Hibernate, you may try deleting the Hibernation file the next time you run Disk Cleanup.

If you absolutely need to restore the laptop to the factory image, you typically can do so using a restore disc that came with your laptop.

  7. First, make sure you have the restore CD's, which may have been included when you bought the computer.  Then you can reformat it and reinstall the system from the restore CD's.  Whey you say you "deleted" the programs, did you uninstall them or just delete the icon that launches them.  If the latter, then they're still there, taking up disk space.

  8. run the recovery disk.

  9. Dells have a feature to restore to original settings, drivers, everything.
