Does anyone know how to configure setting or a password that will work w/ Linux OS?

I got a new modem from Bellsouth and I finally got it working w/ my desktop computer. It won't work with a laptop that has Linux though. when I try to connect it says that it needs a passphrase. Bellsouth only helps w/ windows and the number she gave me will charge for help. Can anyone help or give me some advice?

you have not stated what Linux you are using... every Linux system have a user group. that will help you out... join the user group of your Linux version go to their website and look for user group and forums you will get all your answers there...
