While there are web sites on properties in Cancun, I would personally advise first to visit there a few times before purchasing a piece of property. In addition, if I would be thinking of buying a place in Cancun, I would rather first rent a place first to see how you like the area and country first before venturing out to buy something. I have heard of sob stories in which people of families moved to different part of the country or a different state, bought a house and were so unhappy that they moved back. In short, do your research and consider the pros and cons before making such a move. Also, it would help to have a good lawyer in the closing of a place who knows the local laws of the country before making any kind of deal. Hope this is of some help, although I would have a hard time making this kind of move.
