I have a 10'6" Achilles hypalon standard floor whitewater raft & want to convert it to a self-bailer for serious rapids. I would like to do it for not much cost while still providing a stable raft that does not require extensive modification. Any help would be appreciated!

  1. Look into getting a self-bailing floor for the boat and installing it yourself.  It's not very hard, but it is a little time consuming.  You cut out the old floor, leaving enough at the edge to lace in the new floor.  Reinforce it and punch in the required holes, and then lace in the new floor.  You will probably need some assistance (advice, anyway) from your local whitewater supply store.  Good luck!!!
