Teen Bedroom Decoration: Help Me!!!!!!!!!! Someone!!!!!!!!!!?

I just moved into a new apartment with white walls and dark cherry ( glossy ) floors.

Unfortunately the furniture was already in my room and I have no way of replacing it. light beige ( closet and desk ) my bed is a built in ( as in built into the floor ) double.

I want to add some color to the room to make it more ... funky and creative but i'm scared to buy anything and have it not look good. Do you have any suggestions?

Also about the desk and closet: I want to change the color/ make it look different, but i'm not allowed to paint it. What can I do?

I'm open to ANY suggestions and ideas, and i'm kinda thinking along the lines of a bright orange/red skim.

Thanks in advance! ( The improvement of the furniture is a biggie! )

  1. Paint ball gun.

  2. About the funiture. I saw some wrapping paper at hallmark that is adhesive. I was thinking about buying some and sticking it to my tv stand. Maybe it will work for you!!!  It peels off without leaving any damage.  They had a really pretty green one.  I purchased the Molly bedding from  Pottery Barn for my daughter.  It has greens and aquas!!  She absolutley loves it.  I painted her room aqua and added white accents, like butterfly hooks and a white bookshelf with green storage baskets!!  I also bought some cheap white frames with mattes and put some fun lime green and aqua scrapbooking paper into them that matched the comforter!! Curtains and pillows bring color and you can find colorful desk chairs at any store!!

If you were thinking orange, target at one point had a really pretty duvet with a huge flower on it.  That sounds like the right colors for you.

  3. the furniture color seems fine since it is a regular solid color.  I would paint the walls and get a punchy larger piece of art like on canvas and then accent the colors in the art on the bed with pillows, candles and vases or other ceramic usable pieces.  Do you have a theme or hobby you enjoy....ie traveling, biking, scuba diving, or dreams of some adventure you hope to accomplish in the future?   maybe pull that topic into your decorating.   Check out potterybarn for teens too.

  4. Put in a really nice mirror

I love mirrors they make every room look dressed up and large.

    Good Luck

  5. its your choice do it however u want

  6. Get a glass cut the same size of your desk and put pictures, dried flowers, fun prints and anything else you can think of under it.  I think it would look really cool.
