Does anyone know how to delete the other searches that show up on a searche engine?

Like when u type in something that starts with a g, and below the search thing all of your other searches that started with that will come down under it.

Example: when you start typing in "blahblahblah" and the previous search results show on the drop box, all you have to do is bring your cursor so that whatever you want to delete is highlighted. (don't click on it) Then just press the DELETE button, not backspace. And you can also clear your browsing history as typed above.
