Does anyone know how to fix a DVD player?

My DVD player won't close completely and it won't open on its own either. How can I fix this?

either the motor in the tray is bad, or a belt (if it uses one) is stretched, either way it is safer to have someone who knows what they are doing fix it, the motor is very close to the laser device, and so much as bumping that could permanently break your player
