Most grants are provided by local, state and federal government agencies.  Grants are usually based on how the funds will benefit the community -- not the needs and desires of the person seeking the grant.

For example, in your case you should be able to find funding based on factors such as providing employment opportunities and for providing training in occupations where there is a need for additional people.

Because most of the grants, even those funded by the federal government, are issued at a local or state level you can't just go to a web site and get

more data.  You will first have to do some research and find out what agencies in your area have, or can get, grant money and only then go to their web sites to find out what they are looking for.

In general you will have to prepare both a business plan and some kind of a justification showing the benefit to the community.  In the case of grants the justification is more important than the business plan because the agencies granting the funds are more concerned with improving the community than with the training organization being profitable.

Something else you should look into is what you have to do to make your school eligible for government tuition reimbursement programs.

Hopefully you will be able to get the funding you are seeking to both get started and to sustain your business over time.
