Does anyone know how to get past the part of call of duty 4 on hardcore where gaz is supposed open the door?

i'm playing the 4th or 5th mission where the helicopter crashes and your in the field hiding from another helicopter you take off and try to get in the basement i'm hiding behind the tractor.... its on hardcore or veteran i dunno the hardest setting and its like i'm not supposed to go through the door i take one step and i'm dead i get shot at all over the place are there any gunners i can take out the whole team makes it in without getting shot but the second i step out of cover i'm dead... please help.

Same thing happens with me about 50 thousand times a mission on Veteran, but for that portion of the level, just park yourself behind the tractor and shoot people from behind the cover of that tractor, they can't get a shot on you usually and when you take care of enough people, you will be able to safely pass through... you'll still be in the red, but you won't dead (that rhymes :0)
