hi brad,i had a problem with this plant my way of dealing is not to work hard or spend money. first collect brown cardboard you need plenty, lay this out to get wet this makes it easy to remove tape.best to carry out the next task when the plant is just gowing to seed use a garden roller ever day for as many days as you can.builders suppliers for hydrated lime cover the plant thickly but take grear care when carrying out this task, let it get wet dont water add more lime and cover with cardboard over lapping each exbox hold it down. it may take a few times but the lime will change the Ph of the soil horsetail/marestail

likes acid conditions that why its best not to use tap water.leave over winter if you are growing food pile heaps of compost grow pumpkins or the like.come back for more info.popa

unfortunatly you cant....I believe the roots go down 40 ft and its one of the oldest plants in the world

Oh - I was going to give you advice on cutting and plaiting your horse's tail - but I see you must be talking about some kind of plant!!!

I honestly don't have a clue as I have it growing through my tarmac path. I have used weed killer but it still grows through. If you find out please let me know.
