Does anyone know how to get the little "T" on the rubiks cube after making the first layer?

hey I wanted to know how to create that "T" shape with the rubiks cube on the first layer(if your not counting the top)I have watched nearly 20 rubiks cube videos on how to solve them and i get everything they say except this

i watched two on you tube last month and they were really good i managed to follow them.... so thats probably your best bet...
