Does anyone know how to i can master how to take orders at mcdonalds? is there a site or something?

i have been working for two days now. i keep making mistakes especially when i have to grill or take up multiple orders. I'm also having a hard time because i don't know the menu items. I rarely eat mcdonalds; about once a year.

any help will be greatly appreciated. I'm worried because it's my first job and i don't want to get fired.

Find a new job at a better place but if you are stuck in that dump ask your Supervisor for additional training .

write down all the meals with the numbers and then write down whats under the desserts menu and sandwich menu. try to set it up how the computer is set up. it takes time to get it all right. (or they change things on you) don't sweat it you'll get it soon and even after training if you have trouble just ask for help! good luck!

basically ask for orientation it teaches u everythin i worked at mcdonalds its really frustratin bcuz the orders appear on the screens be4 u r done takin them... first jus listen to the order in case they wanna make additional changes

They used to have Hamburger College.  I'm not sure if it was just  for management trainees or what, but they really, truly had Hamburger College.   If you do get fired, go get a job at a place you would actually eat at.

I used to work at taco bell and we gave new employees sheets that had all of the menu items codes and pictures o fthe ingredients. I would ask a manager if they have something similar. Tell them you really want to do good and want to be able to study. they will appreciate your dedication.

go online and look at the menu

write all of the names on a pieces of paper and mix them up.

pick out various numbers of paper, and act like it's an order. you can either actually make the food, or you can just act like you're in the work place and are making it.

Doesn't the register have pictures of the actual items? Just remember this song. 2 all beef patties, special, sauce, lettuce, cheese, on a sesame seed bun

At my first job witch was KFC/ A&W (I know its mean to the god dam chickens) it was hard to learn everything on the KFC menu and the A&W menu but I just learned and learned heres how I had to greet people

Thank you for chooseing KFC and A&W My name is Kylee how may I help you today?" then they said what they wanted "Is that all for you today" they said yes "Ok that'll be 4.47 at the 2nd window please (then they'd go to the 1st window and sit there and I was like "IF THERES NO ONE THERE THEN GO TO THE SECOND WINDOW" they're so stupid ahh! No offence your gonna hate it a lot soon

i loved working at mcdonalds - dont wry it just takes some time. if you cant find one of the buttons just ask someone for help. the more u work the easier it gets.

You can look at the menu items on ur break or ask the other workers how you make that burger.
