Does anyone know how to loose weight fast?

I want to join the NAVY but I need to loose 55-60 pounds. I was just wondering if anyone knew a fast way to loose weight. If anyone does please help.

I weigh about 220 and I want to weigh at least 110-120 lbs

  1. When my friend joined the USMC he had to lose weight first. He ate mostly chicken, cut out all sodium and soda. He exercised a lot and he lost 20-30 lbs very fast and was able to leave for boot where he lost even more weight. I don't even recognize him from his old pictures.

Invest in a copy of "The Abs Diet" by David Zinczenko, Editor-in-Chief of Mens Health magazine.  It's a safe, common-sense approach to weight loss that includes an eating and exercise plan.  No counting calories or exchanges, no cutting out entire food groups, and you don't have to completely give up everything you love.  I lost over 20 pounds in five weeks on this plan and have kept it off.  And yes, it works for women too.  You can find this book at any major bookstore, and it's tough to miss -- the cover is bright orange.  If you can't find it, you can order it online from http://www.rodalebooks.com/

  3. Thats 100 pounds.  I would first consult your doctor, cause dropping that much weight fast is not healthy.  

    Then the basics

    - Drink lots of water

    -Remove Soda or sugar substances from your diet

    - Control your portions

    (Weight Watchers is good for this)

    -Exercise regularly

    I think that should do it for the begining, after that you may want to look into consulting a personal trainer or a dietician.

  4. Ok, you need to lose 55 pounds to enlist? You need to realize that it is going to take 3-6 months. Go on weight watchers. Seriously, they teach you how to eat. Exercise every day. 20 pounds will go away like that! Also, I think the Marines have a program that helps overweight people lose weight in order to enlist. Perhaps your recruiter can help?  

  5. you have to workout and eat differently mostly fruits, vegetables, and meat. Try running or playing an active sport like basketball or soccer. That will help you a lot. Good luck!!!

  6. Listen I don't know exactly how much you can lose but try getting on a healthy diet, drink plain water on, no flavored water. When you run run in the middle of the day in winter clothes I promise you that you will loose wait dramatically. I knew a guy on the baseball team in high school and coach told him he needed to lose weight. He wore winter clothes, sweater,pants,boots, etc. and he ran half a mile and did stairs everyday he lost weight dramatically. Note: The more you sweat the more you lose. Another thing that can lose you 2-5 pounds a week carry a bottle around with you and spit in it constantly, it's a wrestling thing I did in high school to lose weight for weigh ins. It works every time, if you do both of these and get on a diet it's really possible to lose a lot of weight.
