Does anyone know how to make a garlic keeper.?

I would like to make one instead of buying one, but am not sure what to make it out of. I found one idea using a small terracotta pot with the drainage dish as the lid. Has any one tried that and did it work?

Don't need to make one, a open freezer bag on the door shelf will store garlic for a month.
