Does anyone know how to make a good solid punching bag?

Question

What materials do you use? What kind of fillers? How to pack them? And how do you secure the chains to the top of the bag?

Or am i better off just buying one of those cheap $40 ones? To be honest i don't trust them but has anyone had any experience with them?

fill it up with sand. but not all the way or else you could end up injuring you hand.
