My dad and I have some beestands. We just harvested some honey and now have some wax that I would like to use to make candles . I would also like to know how to make these Lantern/Globes made out of beeswax that you can stick tealights in. I think they would make a great handmade gift to give to friends.

Here is what they look like.

  1. This looks like the same concept they use to make chocolate bowls.  Use a blown up baloon to the size you want the lantern to look like.  You would have to play a bit with sizes.  Warm the wax to melting point(not boiling hot or the baloon will pop, cool it if necessary) and then dip the inflated baloons into the wax.  Take the baloons and hang them up somewhere to drip and dry.  Once dry, pop the baloons and then carve, shape and decorate.
