does anyone know how to do SQRRR? i have to do that for one of my assignments and i have no idea how! could you please explain to me how to do it? just like tell me what i have to do. plz and ty

It's often called SQ3R, and it's a great way to turn passive reading into active reading to learn.  The general idea is to do more thinking as you read, and make the information your own/ integrate it into your knowledge.  It may seem like a lot of work at first, but it really works!

SURVEY

Look through what you will read and look at anything "different", like pictures, titles, captions, etc.  It will give you an overview, to help put what you read into context.

QUESTION

Turn each heading into a question, e.g. if the heading was "10 Ways to Study", ask yourself: "What are ten ways to study?".  Ask yourself questions as you read, also.

READ

Read each section to answer the question(s) you have set yourself

RECITE (OR RESPOND)

Answer your questions, if you've not already done so.  You can repeat things you want to learn, highlight things, etc.

REVIEW

Keep reviewing what you've read.  Summarize the important points for yourself.  Make sure you still know the answers to your questions.
