Question:

Does anyone know how to "raise the bobbin thread" on a singer sewing machine?

i have the instructions but they are wayy to complicated..if you can give me a website or print out..that would be great!

  1. Hold the thread from the needle with the presser foot up. then lower the needle by moving the wheel toward yourself by hand one revolution, The needle thread will catch the bobbin thread and bring it up. That's it.


  2. Crystal8's absolutely correct.  If the bobbin thread is not raising when you do this, then see if you can open the bobbin door and can watch while you turn the handwheel.  You should see the needle thread pass around the bobbin and "net" the bobbin thread to pull it back up.  If that's not happening, you'll have to do a little troubleshooting.
