  1. What state? Some states use different coding systems. I need to know the state to try to attempt to answer.

  2. The International Classification of Disease (or ICD) 9-codes are  462, PHARYNGITIS (another name for Strep Throat, according to www.webmd.com)

Could not find the number 934 anywhere, but  493 Asthma was the closest I could find. The ICD-9 codes only go to 799 before they start with a letter (like E800, which is a railroad accident).

Both of these were among leading causes of death in the 1940's and before because  antibiotics like penicillin had not been discovered as yet.
