Question:

Does anyone know how to remove and replace the back wheel on a BMW F650 cs ? 2003 model with the belt drive.?

I've just failed the mot on the rear tyre and wondered if anyone has removed the rear wheel on 1 of these and can give me some directions, don't want to be paying dealer prices if i can help it, Many thanks

  1. You may need a service manual, as they are dumbing down the owner's manuals so completely.  

    For what it is worth, a manual can be found here (in PDF format).


  2. The F650 should be just like any chain driven bike.  You'll need to keep the rear end up (not sure if you have center stand) and loosen the axle bolt and loosen the chain and pull of the axle bolt off.  Install would be reverse process.

    Get help from other motorcycle buddy, some of them would know how to get you to the right track..

  4. Do you have the owner's manual? It should give detailed instructions in there. Other than that google for a manual. Sorry friend.

  5. Remove the hub cap.

    Remove the lock ring.

    Remove the wheel nut.

    Remove the wheel.
