Does anyone know how to remove chalk from cat fur?

Our cat rolled in sidewalk chalk and it's not coming out. Right now she's blue, pink, and calico. We've tried brushing with a rubber cat brush and a quick bath. Any suggestions?

  1. shave the cat!!

  2. give her a big bath! make sure you wash her everywhere and scrub extra hard. also if the water is deep enough it should wash the chalk right out of her fur!!!!!

  3. sidewalk chalk is usually non-toxic.Check the package to be sure. If you have bathed her and it's still there it may have to wear off.

  4. lol! it will probably wear off in a couple days, but try giving your cat another bath with a little tiny bit of soap and scrub really well, if it's still not gone try calling a vet to see what they recommend

  5. It may be a oil based chalk give her a good bath in Dawn dish soap and rinse her well. If it is just color in her coat you may have to wait for it to grow out.
