Does anyone know how to remove padding coloring off of good hardwood floors?

My sister and I removed old carpeting in her house and some of the coloring from the padding stuck to the floor.

If its just color and not padding then try a scotchbrite pad wet with no odor mineral spirits.   If no luck you might be left with the only other option of refinishing your sister's floor(sand/polyurethane)

Sand the floors that will remove any color or stains and then you varnish them they will look great.
