Does anyone know how to remove the seat bolts from the front passenger side in 2006 chevy impala

it looks like there is just a rivet there instead of a bolt

  1. I believe the first guy to answer meant to say Torx.  But, I believe it is an inverted torx, probably an E8 or maybe an E10.  I just removed the seats from a 96 Buick Regal and that's what held in the seat frames.

    The smaller the E number for an inverted torx socket means the smaller the socket size.  If you didn't know, on a regular torx socket, the torx bolt head will have a star like pattern recessed into the head of the socket.  A torx socket bit will be inserted into the star opening to remove the bolt.  On an inverted torx bolt, the head of the bolt is the star and the inverted torx socket has a star opening in the end so that the socket can be placed on top of the torx head of the bolt.  hope i didn't confuse you.


  2. Its called a tork head bolt and you will need a special tool for it.....
