  1. Many people who retire from the military, active or reserve, request an American flag that has been flown over certain areas, including bases in Afghanistan.  Your nearest reserve center would be able to assist anyone wanted to purchase such a flag.

  2. Most of the time Soldiers in the Middle East are allowed to have a flag flown over the current base / fob they are located at. I had one flown for my fathers fire department the last time I was there and sent it to them with a nice certificate of the date and place it was flown. I had to purchase the flag myself and ask for it to be flown though.

I do not know of any place that sales these flags for just anyone to buy, I would like to tell you that it is a matter of who you know to get one.

    Good luck

  3. do you know anyone that is there..my husband has brought them home ...with a certificate telling when it was flown in what plane and who its too...and which of his aircraft it was in...he hasnt had to buy any of them...i would look for someone who works on planes that is deployed..know anyone?

  4. Go to your local reserve unit.   Ask them to help you out.    More likely than not someone will take you under their wing and see to it you get a flag.

(I got one from Iraq for helping a Reservist who got deployed by taking care of his cat for 90 days.  I did not even have to ask for it. It was a thank you gift.)
